My interest in photography evolved from my awe and appreciation
for the natual world. Growing up in rural Hawaii, I developed respect
for the flora and fauna around me.
Upon moving to Washington to attend
college I fell in love with the wildlife and scenery of the Pacific Northwest.
Shortly after graduation I purchased a Canon Elan II 35 mm camera with
a 75-300mm zoom lens for personal photos of my adventures. I was drawn
to capture on film the beauty of the volcanic regions so different from
my home.
Requests from friends for reprints resulted in my hobby evolving
into a small business. With encouragement from friends, I entered art
shows and my business has grown from there.
I currently call the Pacific
Northwest my home and spend much of my free time in the backcountry of
Mt. Rainer with my camera capturing memories on film and leaving only
footprints. I hope that my photographs will allow others to enjoy the
beauty of nature and be inspired to appreciated and care for the land
and wildlife that surrounds us all.
